My Hero...He's My Daddy

I just got off the phone with you
Did you hear the tears in my voice?
Your getting on the plane right now
and I hate that I'm not there to hug you.
You're leaving your family to do your job,
Its your country that needs you now
Your off to play in that sandbox
so far away from home
be careful and be safe daddy
and don't worry or be scared.
We are fine here, really,
Ash and I are taking care of mom!
I know you will do whatever you have to
to keep your country safe,
because inside these borders
you whole life waits for you.
A great dad you have always been,
here for us and supportive,
now its our turn to return the favor,
If you need anything just call.
We are praying for you constantly,
trying to not shed many tears.
Its hard because if one or two fall
the damn is broken and i sit here and ball.
I know you are going to stay safe,
In your tent with all your friends.
But your my dad and I worry
I wish you were here with us!
Please hurry home, were waiting for you.
If you miss my graduation, that is OK
just don't miss your plane!!
Go and be the hero i know you are
Fight for our Home, defend freedom
and when your job is done
leave Iraq, and hurry home,
safe and sound!
I love you, and I miss you
Tell your troops were praying!
And we wont give up on you!

I wrote this one from a stand point of my brothers and sisters they didn't have dad here while they were going up because he was off at war.
