Silk Sunflowers

by A Christoffer   Jan 31, 2007

Just because she hides her eyes
doesn't mean she's crying.
Just as sure as winter comes
shouldn't mean her love is dying.
You can feel the sun shining down
even in december.

I see your candle flickering
it lights the room inside me
and i've watched you while you sleep
like heaven was beside me
now that we both sleep alone
I hope you still remember

The best part of all
the reason i called
I found you're silk sunflowers
It's been a while since i've seen you smile
I gave you silk sunflowers

you search for something beautiful
in you i find my shelter
a memory that's torn and dry
can still hold us together
and if you say you'll stay with me
my love i will surrender

This poem used such descriptive language and the words were amazing. The central message you were portraying was great and the poem was one of the best that I have read on this site.

keep writing wonderful poetry, you could be famous for it one day.
