Misery is my shadow
my companion through all hours
Chasing away my happiness
and companionship with others
Misery is my only friend
through my lonely nights and days
It fills me up with sadness
and feeds my manic ways
Misery is my accomplice
in my self destructive feats
In my hellish course of life,
no resistance does it meet
Misery is my shadow
