"shhh...i'll be fine"
she heard him say
and then one time...
"we'll be okay"

he held her close
and kissed her cheek
wiped the tears
that left a streak

before he turned
she saw his eyes
the truth be known
it stopped her cries

days go by
she misses him so
the tears never stop
just continue to flow

everyday she writes
of a future together
she knows in her heart
