SCARRED 4 LIFE

by Frank Welter   Feb 2, 2007

Sitting on the floor
Playing so innocently.
Then the smell of fresh cooked eggs and bacon
Hit me.
I know at once mom is the kitchen.
I holler for her but she does not hear me.
Slowly I push myself up from the floor
Stumbling but sneaking up on her.
Ive got something to tell her
But she does not see me.
I pull on the string to get her attention.
Then all of the sudden I hear screams and cries.
I dont know whats happening!
Whats that warm feeling?
Whats that youre putting on me mom?
Whats that noise outside? Its getting louder.
Who are these men carrying me!?
And where are they taking me!?
Mom, where are you!?
I cant see you!
HELP ME!

After all is said and done,
What am I but SCARRED 4 LIFE
