Dancing alone

by Flying Phoenix   Feb 3, 2007

Flittering smile glimmers across
Sparkling eyes admit no loss
Golden hair curls perfectly
Fleeting glance at what was she
Pain erased, hidden and gone
Sweet and careful she's moved on

Dancing on the floor like no one's there
Cheering silently, not a care
For if she looks like this outside
In her heart, she's nothing to hide
The music beats
Her stomach leaps
As she dances on and on

Men surrounding, watching her move
Not a guess at what she did loose
Not a clue to what she's had
Those past times, choices gone bad

Yet smiling across at her happy life
This girl came through all that strife
And when you see her dancing alone
Come along, show her love not known
