Never Ending War

by Sharon   Feb 4, 2007

Our soldiers are dying
In this never ending war
The deaths of our people
We scream for no more

Our leader is saying
They fight for the country
They fight this terrible battle
To save lives by the plenty

We beg for an end
An end to the fight
No good can come out of it
Whether day or night

The taxes are rising
The prices are high
All because the war
Needs the money to fight

More people are wounded
There aren't enough nurses
As the war goes on
Our lives only worsen

By supporting the war
These people do not see
How the war only wreaks
An endless path of tragedy

The people are suffering
The living conditions are poor
All this is because
Of the Never Ending War

Being partiotic doesn't mean bashing your country. i'm sorry but this is my first negative comment. you're a good poet but this is suppoesd to be patriotic because it's in that column
