Stone

by panicked life   Feb 5, 2007

Locked in a cage of unforgiveness
Reality is what most call it.
No one truly knows... all forgetfulness.
Bleeding and lies are all you know of it.
Scar-brimmed flesh is all around.
No one cares, let them be alone.
People don't really know, not in this town.

Admit it? Yes, I am frightened.
This world is so dark and cold.
I feel nothing, nothing is enlightened.
Not even by friends of old.
Look at the butterflies and pups.
Pretty things are now boring as stone.
