Its Funny How....

It’s funny how most parents say they do things in your best interest. Sometimes I wonder if that ever crossed your mind with me. You said you loved me, but actions speak louder than words. You kept me there with you and tried to turn me away from those who wanted to do nothing but help me. I think the only reason you did this was not to show you loved me and wanted me to be with you but to prove to yourself that what you were doing was okay. You didn’t want to be judged by me. You wanted me to think you were the doing the best you could and they just wanted to take me away from you to hurt me and you. But now I just see you were being selfish, you wanted people to think that you were a good mother and hide the truth. I still fell that you love me, but not like you say you do. You’re my mother and you have to say it, but your actions in the past make it easy to question the REAL meaning behind them words.
