This Sacred Scene

by NytherHerenorTher The hooded poet   Feb 6, 2007

See how he dances, see how he moves,
time collides against itself, a wrinkle
His spirit, full of old wisdom, yet he is young
Transcending this realm, he is one with nature

The fire, representing the vibrant
non-wavering life of his Native ancestors long gone to the sky
Here he moves to the beat of the drum, dwelling in his pride

A cry to the moon and stars escapes the very door of his soul,
as his eyes see into a higher plain
His feet, a frenzy of steps as his hands fly,
giving his praises to the Great Spirit

Ancient trance-like song reverberates the night,
rolling of the women's tongue
This sacred ceremony of the young brave,
a solemn scene of rich heritage
