Mein Kampf 2/5/07

by Sunny   Feb 6, 2007

She closes her eyes
the salty stinging intensifies
the tears cover her cheeks and drip from her chin
she gazes into the mirror
tries to find the soul in those eyes
the soul that used to laugh so loud

inside her chest beats a heart full of love
shes tried to give it away
but no one wants to keep it it all
they take pieces and run
who is there to catch her when she falls?

she says she's OK
it doesn't sound convincing even to her though
her seams are silently bursting
and shes out of thread
everyone sees the scars
but no one knows how deep they run
no one knows the battle she fights

she looks at the picture on her phone
the stinging comes back
the pain in her heart seeps into her gut
lashing out, the mirror shatters
she cant fight the pain anymore
she hits the floor
and lets the tears drown her
