My Messiah

by ThugPoet   Feb 6, 2007

As the world slept I awoke before dawn,
at a time when there is peace, stillness & the noises are gone,
I perform my ablution & get dressed to leave,
I can hear the birds chirping & the trees seem to breath,
as I walk toward the Mosque I saw an image of a man,
they said it was you although I didn\'t understand,
however, you looked like me just a little bit older,
you wore a long robe, a beard & had hair down to you shoulders,
I smiled & prayed \'may Gods peace be upon you\',
you were a Spirit from Him & you came with the Truth,
the Messiah, the Christ, you gave hope to the hopless,
but only a few know your real name, Yehoshouah Ben Joseph,
yes I\'m a Muslim & I believe in who you were,
a mighty Prophet not God Who is One not 3 or the 3rd,
I dont say what I say to offend or break hearts,
I say what I say to stop misconceptions before they start.

You are my Messiah as it is in the Quraan,
& I pray as you prayed in the darkness of dawn,
the message is to right the thoughts that are wrong,
hoping that I can walk the same path that you walked along.

ThankYou.
