Wing\s of Hope, Prayer, and A Little Bit of Luck

by Robbie M   Feb 7, 2007

Take these words I give to you
Keep them safe from fear and doubt
Even though you're far away
My love for you I shout.
Help me gather broken pieces
Of our hearts left out to die.
Should I spare you with my tears?
Is now not the time to cry?

Be it as it may
A life filled not with you
But without my hands in prayer
I would of never heard Dark Blue.
Please consider me
A minstrel just for you
Will you sing with me this song?
Except add, I love you too.

Fooled be not past memories
Truth is all they can speak.
And as I drop down to my knees
Do not think of me as weak.
I do it out of sorrow
All the pain I put you through
It was not supposed to be like this
I was, supposed to be with you.

I will fight for you until I die
Gasping for my one last breath
To sing this simple song
Is the only chance I have left.
This song I made for you
So I shall sing my lungs out
Until my one last breath
Which my love for you I'll shout.
