To the reason for my heartache:

by rubberduckii   Feb 8, 2007

Its long and may be hard to understand from an outside point of view but i guess you dont write for anyone else to get but you huh

look around...
what do you see?
you dont see all the faces in the crowd do you?
you see me.

you're regretting what you did
ladies and gentlemen
start your bid.
selling my heart
taking it piece by piece apart.

its not your fault though,
im the one the let it go.
every time i let you rewind
forgot all you did wrong
trusted you with my heart
and now its gone.

i thought we were friends
but you brought that to an end

a screeching halt if you will.
god! just standing next to you
i can feel the chill.
that must run up and down your spine every time you commit this crime

someone will get you
like you got me
someday youll be the subject
of this sad story.

how could you do this?
you must pay,
and when that day comes
ill be the first to say...

it sucks doesnt it?
having that feeling in your throat?
the one you get when you cry,
all choked up?
what now you cant speak?
the words that once haunted me?

but until that day comes,
i hope you live it up.
cause once the pain starts you cant get enough,
of oxygen,
you need to breathe,
you know?
that stuff thats suppose to put you at ease.
one day...
youll catch this disease.

I didn't really like the structure at all, the way the lengths of the stanzas kept changing and the rhyme scheme kept changing. Was a real turn off for this poem. The content wasnt bad though
