Strangers Like Us

by 4ever4u   Feb 8, 2007

Maybe for some reason the time for us was just right
What we're doing maybe wrong, but it feels so right
These emotions I feel I've tried to put aside
But they're so strong there's no place for them to hide

How funny life can sometimes be
You're husband loves you and my wife loves me
But yet there lingers such a passionate lust
That engulfs completely two strangers like us

No my darling, none of us is really to blame
What we feel inside we need not feel ashame
These feelings that were dormant not so long ago
Now it's no easier forgetting you than letting you go

Nothing like this has happened to me before
Now I find myself wanting you more and more
It runs through my veins like a burning fire
I'm consumed by its passion and longing desire

I'm convinced that this is not just a fling
Every time you say that I look at my wedding ring
And it reminds me that this is something serious
The paths crossed between two strangers like us

Its such a comfort to hear your voice over the phone
And I keep thinking you shouldn't be home all alone
And we could go on talking hour after hour
So much that we want to share with each other

Strangers like us searching for something new
Maybe you'll find it in me and I'll find it in you
So in destiny's hand I will put all my trust
And let it decide the fate for two strangers like us
