My Calling

by 4ever4u   Feb 27, 2007

I have lived a life in so much guilt and sin
I pray that God will open heaven's door and let me in
I have been straying way for much too long
It's time to return to the flock where i belong

For so long i've been trying to find
Some tranquility and peace of mind
But in this corrupt world my search is in vain
Things only get worse the more i complain

I've seen everything there is to see
The things of this world is just not for me
I've done everything there is to do
Nothing of this world for me is something new

I have heard the inner voice calling many times before
But the truth it spoke i chose to ignore
I can no long keep pretending i do not hear
God forbid i end up in the devil's snare

The wise take heed to instruction
But fools listen not to advice
He that loveth knowledge accepts correction
But fools end up paying the price

I surrender all to the most high
On bended knees i look up to the sky
The shepherd is calling me with arms open wide
For he has prepared a place for me right by his side
