I would take my own life
If it ensured your happiness
I would bear unbearable pain
For you to clutch onto true love

I let my guard down
When you walked into my life
I was left defenseless to your overwhelming affection
And I became a victim of your adoration

My heart was shattered when you left
Its pieces never to be found again
It was you and only you that could complete me
Sadly, you never needed me as much

I promised that I would never hurt you
And swear on my life I never will
But all I can now wonder is
How much I could have given to you

Even if you don't understand
You are all I can think about: night and day
Even when you think your alone
I am right here beside you to guide you along

My heart aches persistently
Knowing that it will wither without your love
The pain I bear, a testament
Of my deep devotion for you
