The Statue

by nobode   Feb 10, 2007

Your eyes pierce right through me
I cannot lie to you
The glance has grown to be devious
The eyes of the statue

Searching the room
Looking for my way out
You read my helpless plea
Those eyes of mystery

No matter what I say
No matter what I do
You decipher my intentions
The eyes of the statue

Always present yet evanescent
Those eyes fixed on me
Make me anxious to escape
It's in those eyes, which I find my sealed fate

In those eyes that I cannot diverge from
Lies the power of insight
Solutions to my own plight
The eyes of the statue

How I wish those eyes could disappear...
