My Mistake

by Levi   Feb 11, 2007

It's happening again and I don't know what to do,
I didn't think that what I was doing was hurting you.
Yet I was wrong; now it's crumbling down,
I'm slowly sinking and beginning to drown.
This just seems to be getting worse and worse,
It's so unfair I can't believe how much it hurts.
My eyes are closing I'm drifting into sleep,
But even when I do I still continue to weep.
I can't escape what has started to take place,
You can see the sadness within my aching face.
Don't leave my side just because of a few mistakes,
I'll make it up to you I promise; I'll do whatever it takes.
This was my mistake and I will strive to make it right,
I'll reach for the answer no matter what the height.

Wow. Your poem really spoke to me. I've made some serious mistakes and now my family and friends have to pay for it. I can't go back.
