Leaky Heart

Her heart springs a leak
Doctors cannot detect
For it is that of love
Not of physical pain

She aches to move forward
But can only crawl back
So she will stay where she is
And hope to be found

Her call echoes into silence
But no one can hear
And she wait calmly by the river
Where her destiny awaits

She ties up rocks in a bag
Hooks them to her feet
Her heart stops bleeing
As she enters the water

Trying to escape
She is now healed
She cannot fight
And is sucked into an empty vortex

Her life ended tragically
But her heart is healed
She sits at the shore now
Loving the ocean, wishing she were aalive
