No Flowers for Me

by Taylor   Feb 11, 2007

I'll never sigh for a love that never was,
or weep for the way things ought to be.
No, I'm much more practical than that;
I'm much more heartbroken than that.

People say love like a fairy tale rhyme,
the ones where the princess finds her savior..
But still, even she was unable to compromise
the grey patches into the black and white picture.

Some love, in proportionate potions,
it's better than no love at all?
No, I'm much more practical than that;
I'm much more devastated than that.

True, it is a wholesome gesture, love.
But tell me why the chocolates taste bitter.
Explain to me the peculiar irony,
why only the plastic roses live forever.
