What am i?

What am I that im in everyone around me?
What am I that ive been in every age in this world?
What am I that people sought me out like a treasure?
What am I that humans thought that I would bring them joy?
Who am I to people that most think im a goddess as beautiful as an angel should be?
How am I to improve a person’s life with granting them just this feeling?
Who am i? What am i?
I ask over and over again thinking that someone would answer me
Why do people seek me out like an animal to be caught?
Why does every age know my name as if I was a famous person?
Why does every history hold me in them as if I was an important being?
Why does every generation hunt me like a treasure to be won?
What have I done to deserve such things?
Im not a famous person or royalty in demand of attention
Im not what you think I am either
Although im in your every thought
And was carved in your memory since birth
im in your blood making it boil
im in your heart making it beat
im in your soul making it yearn
im your essence
im your life
Alas they blame me still
When they see their beloveds thriving me still
Some even think of killing me when who have tasted me haven’t had enough of me
Why do many envy me my power?
Even my existence they fear it still
Im just doing my job
They need me although im not seen
Seek me out although I always tend to sneak up on them and take them by surprise
All wanting me in their lives although most will do without me

Im the one they named goddess once by the Vikings and the like
Im the one that makes minds turn to another
Im the one that give people hope of a future
Im the one that give people reason to live
Im the one that gives warriors a reason to be careful
Im one of a kind but also im something when you taste it wont ever want to lose it

Im something you would have a strong desire to learn and be taught it
Im something that would make you want something else more than anything else
