Seasonal Affection

by Taylor   Feb 13, 2007

A blaze of summer, long and lazy
streams along in tunes so gaily.
Happy heat in glossy bliss,
why can't all days be like this?

Silver shadows 'bout a cinnamon moon,
rains so sweet, they make you swoon,
breathy frost on the leaves of mist,
why can't all days be like this?

Pedals sway in merry song,
grazing love-beams all day long.
On the park bench we bathe a kiss,
tell me, why can't all days be like this?

And autumn yawns in blanketed gold.
Remember the tales that he breathlessly told.
A locket of memories held tight in your fist,
Oh, why must all days end like this?

Hey, this is a masterpiece. It flowed so well and the lines are witty. I gave you 5.
