Dream

I ran away from home
But I have no place to go
I know you'll just take me back
But I can't take that.

The street lights are on
It's just about dawn
And I'm not home yet.

I found myself at your door
I looked in the window,
You were sleeping on the floor,
So I walked away.

I ran away from home
But I have no place to go
I know you'll just take me back.
But I can't take that.

I don't know what to do,
The clock just stroke two,
and I'm not home yet.

As I was walking I prayed
I prayed that the Lord would show me the way
and not they me stray.

I ran away from home
But I have no place to go
I know you'll just take me back
But I can't take that.

I felt so free
Then the clock hit three
And I knew that's where I had to be.

I was so scared,
I wasn't sure how much of this I could really bare.
As I sat and stared I heard the rumble
The rumble on the tracks
There was nothing to hold it back
And then, everything went black.
