Nine Words for Creative Writing

by kElliE   Feb 13, 2007

She comes off as happy, perfect in her own way, but she's not. she feels lifeless,
her head filled with thoughts of pain. she's just a girl though, but
she's jumping ahead of herself. she breathes in the same oxygen as you; why is she different?
only fifteen, but already three painful mistakes that she can't take back.
the air is getting thicker, and maybe today will be her last.
her days go by slower, and she wonders if she'll have a future.
she's thinking too much; her mind is on overload. she's gone crazy.
but suddenly sixteen isn't as far away as she thought,
and the word "young" is finally understandable.
she'll have a future because she'll make the best of what she's got.
