Impressions on the Moon

by Shane   Feb 14, 2007

Here I stand
No war won, no future crime
The history of a season
Riddled with disorder of time
And Rhea still looks at the sky
Mother of all my woes and sighs

The graceful swan with her neck arched
Oh could it curve for me
Into a formless cloud
Floating in reverie

Clarity is not my intention
I long for the obscurity
Of an uncut diamond,
Unrefined and everlasting
Slowly and sweetly elapsing...

Into the eternal shadow of the sun,
Eclipsing my fate
Illusions of potential
On the land of the moon escape

And now i'm left
With this Sisyphean task,
Where I must push this boulder past
The space between my love,
My mask.

That was amazing. The writing kept me hooked the whole time and the words flowed so smoothly it was like listening to music rather than reading text. Conrats on the great poem. Keep up the great writing.
