When I say good-bye...

by Danielle   Feb 15, 2007

If I smile when I say good-bye,
Don't think it is because I am happy to leave
I'm covering up for the dam of tears ready to burst.

When I think of saying good-bye,
I think about how much I am going to miss you,
Your cheerful voice,
Your loving personality,
Your bright smile,
Your listening ear,
Everything about you!

I will never forget,
The hours of long talks,
The nights we stayed up laughing.

The time will come,
I will smile again,
And tell you how much I care.
But for now,
I will cover up my tears with a smile,
When I say good-bye.
