Our Farewell

by TwistedNightmare   Feb 15, 2007

You went away.
Laid smiling
As you began to fade.

Distance between has grown.
On day,
I could have sworn
You were here to stay.

Now I really know
The pain you wouldn't show.

Behind that angel mask
So frail, like crystal glass.
Broken beyond repair,
Alone, in despair.

Sorrow, my sweetest friend.
Where do I begin?

I tried to heal the pain
But it was all in vain.
Said everything was alright,
But you wanted to end your life.

Your skin paler than the moon.
Your lips, a harsh blue.
Eyes so distant now,
Closed forever more.
A blade in your hand,
Your bittersweet end.
'Worthless,'
You did carve.

How could you be so cruel?
To take my love for you
And throw it in the dirt.
Do you know how much that hurt?

Now I lay to sleep,
Lay down for rest.
I'll close my eyes.
Dream, a sorrowful sight
Darker than the night.

This is our farewell,
Till another time.
When you get where you're going,
I hope you find,
That happiness you wanted.
Forget all your pain,
Let it all wash away.

This is my goodbye.
My sweetest friend,
Wait for me
Until th end.
