LOVE IS...

by kimara4955   Feb 15, 2007

Love is a red rose,
that sits on my window pain,
when i water my flowers with a hose.
so love is..

love is petals on a flower,
he loves me, he loves me not,
should say my daughter bower.
so love is...

Love is leafs falling of trees,
leaf after leaf, day by day,
should say my son sitting in piles of leaves.
so love is...

love is flowers in the sun,
sunflower to daisy, daisy to bluebells.
this is my mum who always wears her hair in bun.
so love is...

love is something that says "i love you",
chocolates and roses are my favorite,
this is my mum and dad who always sew.
so love is...

so love is you and i.
forever and ever.
century to century.
our love will be forever.

i written this poem year 2001 for a school project. it isn't heartfelt, but i hope you will tell me what you think. i am thinking of re-writing it but make it more heartfelt to me. xx

    It was quite sweet.
In terms of improvement, there are a few words that could be altered to make it better.
On the second line it should be "window pane." On the nineth line it should be "falling off trees."
Also, reading the poem out loud I noticed that in the fifth stanza the rhyme maybe incorrect. My pronunciation of "sew" rhymes with "so" rather than "you." Maybe it's the difference in accent.
Anyway apart from that, this was a very good write.
    Thanks for sharing.
