Love Said No

She puts on a mask,
Black hair and mascara.
The real her is dying,
In this act that she's trying
By day she's an actress,
She covers her tears.
By night she a dreamer,
She's screams out her fears.
The sweet little girl the world had once known,
was now soaked in rejection
and a love gone so wrong.
No one could guess and no one knew why,
the sound of his name
Made her cringe inside.
"Love me" she begged...
and he said no. "Let go" she begged...
and he said no.
"Kill me" she begged...
and love said no.
