Revolving Doors

Revolving Doors

Caught in the spin
Of revolving doors
Nose pressed to glass
The faster you go
The sooner you get nowhere

One foot in front of the other
Tripping each other up
The world whirls past the glass
I'm dizzy
But I can't slow down

Others leave ahead of me
Still more join from behind
They always seem to find a way out
Their dizzy turns are brief
Mine go on

Push the emergency button
Slow the spin
Let the world outside become focused again
When revolutions finally stop
I'm stuck between the doors

Recognise the feeling of going nowhere fast and watching others find their way before you. Hope you are out now
