Remembered Fondly

I wrote this poem 4 days before my Grand dad die and revised it a month later, This is the revised poem.

Looking at my Grandfather who had been bedridden for two years,
I had found myself wanting to come to unseen tears.

A man who had worked until becoming diagnosed with cancer
when he was in his years, on his seventy seven
could no longer be a financier.

Knowing him as a man of so much strength, it is hard for me to understand how under these pains he had come to a sudden Bent.

But then I looked at how much had died before him
and how much had suffered more that he did, suffering all his pain in a whim.

Again his hard heart had prevailed even though
in many aspects he ailed.
Though he has kissed the rose that awoke him into a world that is Godly
He will never be forgotten but forever be remembered fondly.

Bye Grandpa
love you
(Never was able to show how much I did)
