ILLUSION

by Shamar   Feb 21, 2007

"No! Tell me why you love this dream. I need to learn about this illusion that burns brighter than what is true. Tell me!"
I shook her. Her tiny lumps flopped and her head rolled on her fragile neck, but she didn't awaken. I flung her down onto the bed. "Why the images? You longed for the barren reality of my nature, you burned for it. To kill without remorse. To live forever without the need of redemption. But when you had it in your hands you wanted this precious fantasy, this false scene of seduction. 'Make it real,' you said. And it became real. What is the lure of this illusion? Why is it so vital?"
