Caged

by Jade Shadow Rose   Feb 21, 2007

This hatred I feel,
Succumbing to rage,
Chained to a sinking ship,
Smashed into my cage.

Sinking into the depths,
The abyss of hatred,
Metal made from flesh,
Upon us they tread.

Forcing their will upon us,
Seizing our dreams while we sleep,
Throwing them into the fires,
Justifying their actions, the burdens they bear.

Their burden is words, as light as air,
Empty their hearts, you will see,
All their lies, their legacy of deceit,
Taken into lies, cannot seem to be.

Dreams...Funny how the subconcious played with us. I dreamt of a guy, that was far beyond reach. Spring break is close and the guy had 2 weeks for it. He flew out to see me despite his annoyance and anger with me. He came to my work and wrapped his arms around me. I work from my dream calling and I called the guy, he wasnt allowed to answer from punishment. At least I know that my heart still yearns for him, and so does my mind. I want that guy that despite what the news tells him on wensday morning, he will know that I still love him.
