Alone

by Hatori   Feb 21, 2007

I was always alone,
Nobody cared,
About this poor soul,
Withering away,
On this sad, dark day.

A creature,
I seemed,
To all who saw me.
I was judged,
No matter the cause.

But now I remember,
That awkward smile,
When you looked down at me,
And held out your hand.
It took me a moment,
To realize the truth,
That you truly loved me,
And I was no longer alone.
You held me in your arms,
And I never forgot,
How it felt,
To finally be loved.

But now that memory,
Haunts me at night,
I can't stand this agony,
This agony of "alone".
