Not knowing how to express my love for you
or how the way i feel
not knowing how to explain it
not sure if it's real
what does it mean to be in love?
to show somebody that you care?
to tell them you're there?
how can you know they understand?
How do you know they can be a man?
Hard to say the words
harder to prove it
that phrase will change everything
and not by just a bit
after those words are said
there is no turning back
because you see i should know
because honesty isn't what i lack
I've been lied to before
and I've also been lied on
but thats not anything
i dwell upon
nobody is perfect
or is always in the right state of mind
people make mistakes
and thats just fine
but when your heart gets broken
by the one you love
you'll look everywhere for comfort
except above
when the angels up there
are so understanding
they know where you're coming from
and they have no fear
they share stories
and the speak their mind
at least thats what my grandma does
this guardian angel of mine
but what does it really mean to be in love?
only you can answer, and only you can trust.
Happiness with out love
is like a basketball player without musk
live and learn but never forget
forgive but never regret
the things you do
for there is somebody out there
doing the same thing too.
