What used to be

by Kearria   Feb 22, 2007

When it comes to matters of the heart,
don't let lies ever tear us apart,
Share to the "One" the power of love,
dont put anything else above,
think of the times and things that we've shared,
count all of the times you said that you cared,
i realize that this is very hard to believe,
i never wanted or intended to leave,
Now that your gone, i cry at night,
you'd come home late and we'd always fight,
We'd bicker and holler over where you were,
you swore that smell wasn't perfume on your shirt,
You never came home, but for maybe a second,
i was always home sick, about 4 months pregnant,
i was shocked at the type of father you were,
you were never there, even after i gave birth,
congratulations, we have a babygirl,
maybe not to you, but to me she means the world,
i wanted to give her the life i never had,
and how rough it's gonna be growing up without a dad.
