Run

"One day," the boy says.
"One day we'll run away."
The girl says "Okay."
"We'll run away together,
just you and me babe, forever."

A few day later the boy says,
"I think today is the day."
The girl says "To Run Away?"
"Yes." He say.

The Girl takes a minute to think.
"Okay, tonight meet me for a drink."

Later after a few drinks he says,
"I'll go and get my car."
He walks out of the bar
And then from a far,
The girl hears a crash and goes outside to see
His car all smashed.

Now she's at home
Sitting all alone,
With tears on her face
Missing his sweet embrace.
She sits and waits for the day
Where they can both run away.
Together.
Forever.
