Left Alone Again

by Angel Of Death   Feb 22, 2007

Wake up early morning,
Put on the happy face,
Look confident and smile,
No one will know it's all fake

A whole morning,
devoted to a long goodbye,
Just a peice of paper,
and assumptions as to your future fly

So many nameless faceless,
watch you as you go,
The whole event just drags on,
each minute goes by so slow

Finally at the end,
And you wait for a friend,
But her family turned up,
so she can't hang out

She walks away,
with tears in her eyes,
the last thing anyone heard her say,
was "don't worry it's fine"

They call it Graduation Day,
like its really that special an event,
Just another one that didn't go her way,
a day that wasn't well spent.

It's just another day,
where thoughts lead back to him,
back and forth inside her head,
like little secrets trapped within

This "special" day,
and no one was there,
they had better things to do,
and she pretends she doesn't care

It eats at her,
every damn second of the day,
But that's her secret,
And the feeling's never going away

Everyone says sorry,
like it means so much,
but they weren't sorry, they were too busy,
They were just in too much of a rush.
