Let Me Love You

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Feb 23, 2007

Your tremble lets me know
It's okay for me to be scared
And that this isn't the only
Feeling we both share

We are supposed to be just friends
But destiny wants more
Our hearts are both aching
So what are we fighting fate for

The slip of your hand wasn't an accident
I can tell by the colour of your cheeks
We are now sitting side by side
Because both our knees went weak

The music you choose to play is setting
The same mood as when we were together
Listening to it again tonight
Makes me want to get lost in it forever

Your smile sanctifies security
Only you are able to make me feel safe
Your laughter extinguishes my fear
And all pain it seems to erase

I know I make you happy
Don't deny the fact that I do
No matter how hard you try to hide,
Your feelings that show will remain true

I bask in your beauty
You are perfection in my eyes
I will admit my admiration
And there's no chance you would deny

You look and only see me
You quiver at the sign of my lips
You need me and you show it
By the gentleness of your kiss

We are meant for eachother
That is the one thing we always knew
So, baby, if I let you love me
Will you let me love you

Such beautiful words. This was your best.
