She lay sprawled on the floor
An empty pill bottle in the bathroom
her wrists rapidly bleeding
A bloody razor hidden under the bed
She did not whine nor weep
as she awaited the darkness
Tormented and taunted all his life
he sat in the stall
sadness and pain overwhelmed him
an object sat in his shaking lap
its metal cold and unforgiving
As he lifted it to his head
he silently listened to the footsteps of children
And whispered the lords prayer, asking for forgiveness
there was a bang, then silence
the darkness soon came
She stood there beaten and battered
deprived of all her innocence
and all rights to her childhood
clothing tattered and torn
hair a mess, skin bruised
blood ran slowly down her legs
she stood on the edge of the bridge
knowing the water was cold
there was numbness and then the darkness came
He stood on the chair
and stared blankly out of the window
remembering the sight of his mother,
being violated by a drunken stranger
and remembering the pain the stranger caused them both
recalling, how he'd watched the life slowly slip from his mother's eyes
there was a tightness around his neck
He was going to be with his mother
Forever
he slowly slid the chair from underneath him
and then nothing
Nothing but darkness
