Silent killer

by Steff   Feb 24, 2007

She lies there limp, frail and gasping for a breath of air, a breath of love, a breath of life.

She lies there unable to speak, to walk freely, to do the things she used to back in the days when she wasn't held captive by an undesirable disease, a disease that ruins, that may kill.

What is this disease that is so common?
that kills or leaves unmovable scars.
this disease is cancer, she suffers from it. she used to be happy, energetic, full of life now she just lies there her family surrounding her, not leaving her side, eyes full of sadness.

Why does she have to suffer as it eats he life away? what did she do?
nothing, but it doesn't matter, not now.

She lies there, we watch her drift away, shes gone to a better place but shes gone.
She was my Nana always was, always will be
but shes not here
