A death for naive minds.

by Alissa   Feb 26, 2007

Is there something in this planet left for love,
mean less words to show one's affection.
Cliche phrases to make a heart melt,
it just doesn't cut it anymore, not like that.

The pain just over rules the pleasure,
everyday is a battle field.
We fight to keep our sanity,
to keep ourselves from madness.

The lies build up from every moment,
love isn't love anymore.
When thought of love, it's an eternal trap.
One that kills with the burning of the sun.

So beautiful at first, longing for more.
But then it starts to prickle with pain,
a sudden crash of hurt,
yet it's not a wave.

It's a death that naive minds yearn for,
not knowing the suffering that comes with a kiss
Why are we so blinded at first?
A question that just can't be answered.

Love is not real, to those who feel it is.
It's just a phrase, just lust that keeps it alive.
Yet with every breath of living,
there is a gasp of death.

Nothing shall last forever,
you may clasp what you have in your weak hands,
long enough to realize that love is clasping you.
It's forever torturing the soul of every life.
