Wishing He Was Here

by Daz Mellow   Feb 27, 2007

Sitting on her front doorsteps,
She dries her tears and look toward the sky.
All she could think about was the day he first said, hi.
The song on the radio coming from inside,
It took back to another day,
Standing on her doorsteps, he kissed her goodnight.
After the whole day of making her feel like a queen,
And everything seemed right.
When the song ends, she came back to present day,
The day after hes gone faraway, and shes got nothing to do or say,
To make him stay.

Waking up in the morning,
Its just another day for her.
Then she kept remember that her life was over,
Since the day he was gone and left her all alone.
But she knows she has to go on and just stay strong,
Because she knows, someday shell be with him again.
And when she felt like she couldn't go on,
She thinks about his smiles even when they lasted only for a few while,
It made her smile with him.
Now all she could think about is the day he went away and she couldn't hold him back.
The tears rolling down her cheeks and he looked down at her holding back the tears in his eyes,
He said Baby, goodbye.
She just looked at the floor as he went out the door, leaving her with his touch in her hands and his love in her heart.

Sitting on her doorsteps,
She dried her tears,
Looked toward the sky,
She wished he was here,
And then she whispered, baby goodbye.
When the wind blew through her hair,
She swore she heard him whispering in her ears,
Baby, I'm still here.
