Never perfect enough for you mommy

by Hey Brittknee   Feb 27, 2007

Mommy, I'm not your perfect little girl anymore
Half the time I don't listen to what you say
I'm not gonna tell you about my life
And half your rules I won't obey

You've got to give me some privacy
I can't take it any longer
Because if you don't
My teenage rebellion will get stronger

I'm not your perfect little girl
My grades won't always be straight A's
If you don't let me do anything
My teenage years will be a haze

Mommy, you're not listening
To anything I say
I'm tired of listening to you
My life won't go your way

Let me make my mistakes
And correct them on my own
Or else when I'm older
I'm gonna end up alone

You don't give me any freedom
You watch everything I do
So I'm sorry mommy
I'm never gonna be perfect enough for you
