Moonlit Night

by Rachel RTVW   Feb 28, 2007

Onyx night by light of moon,
Thirsty forest drinks monsoon.
Moss and Ivy creep and crawl,
Grass so thick, it forms a wall.

Stars twinkle from far away,
Loving night, wish it could stay.
Perfect night I've spent with you,
Now we'll await the morning dew.

Babbling brook sings nature's song,
Peaceful serentiy, nothing's wrong.
Gentle breeze wisps through the air,
Starlight glistens your swaying hair.

My embrace wraps you tight,
As we enjoy this moonlit night.

"The stars they twinkle far away,

A beautiful couplet. The whole poem was just so gorgeous.
Teamed with the fluid like flow, it's a fab piece
