I ask myself

Sitting alone this night
not another person in site
feeling silence overtaking me
hatred shocking me

i ask myself why she left
i ask myself why i hurt
i ask myself why my heart shattered
my heart choking me

i ask myself why i love her
i ask myself why i can't leave her
i ask myself why i can't forget her
her kisses cover me

in a dark corner
rocking back in forth for comfort
holding knees up to chin
these questions i ask remain unanswered
i remain hurt

i ask myself how do i survive
when the one i love walks away.....
