Time Changes People

The hardest thing to do in life, Is to tell your mind you don't love her anymore
Because no matter what you do, The feelings from your heart will soar
You stay up all day and night, Trying to get the one you love out of your mind
But all you do is see memories, And now your mind goes blind
You sit back and think, Knowing she still loves you
You want to call her, But you don't know what to do
Your times running up, And days are going by
You finally pick up your phone and call, She picks up and you start to cry
She now knows that the feelings, You have for her are true
You both start to smile, And each say I love you
She asks what took so long, And you say you don't know
So you ask her the same thing, And she says, her mind had to flow
You guys talk all night, And things are all back to normal
Later that month, She asks you to go to a formal
With happiness and a smile, You reply with I'd love to
Now 20 years later, And she is married to you
With 2 kids, One a boy and the other a girl
25 more years go by, And you are getting to old to curl
Your kids are grown up, And one is getting married at 25
The last thing you and your wife did before you died, Was tell how fun life was when your hearts were alive
The time has now come, And you have past away
Your wife stands with tears in her eyes, And tells the kids to never leave the one you love this way
Because one day you will wish, That they were there with you
Cries of love will start to drip, Always leaveing the one in mind to come through
