Stacey Ray

What Happens When the lights turn off
Darkness prevails and causes a sense of fear
Little Stacey’s Room is so dark now
And a cold bitter feeling begins to touch Stacey Ray
Freezing her in places she wish she never had
Her mind begins to change now and go to a place
Where Stacey Ray and her body are separated Little Stacey Ray cant understand why her daddy
Becomes her worst fear when the lights turn off
And everyone goes to sleep
Anybody could hear her and find what hides in the darkness
But she won’t scream not for a second
For darkness instantly pervades her with all fears
But no fear no threat no smashing slap to the face could stop Stacey from crying

Stacey Ray never sleeps
The sinuous tears keep eyes wide open
Stacey Ray never screams
The bruises purple on her back keep the mouth tight shut
Stacey Ray has a fear
One that is at its strongest at night
Stacey Ray tries to speak out
But darkness lives in small places

So Stacey Ray decides to fall
Beyond darkness's reach
beyond hells floors and firefieryms
beyond this world that became her worst fear

I shed tears for Stacey Ray the little 8 year old girl who experienced hell before she met heaven
who never got to dream
