Dry Up (2)

by Blackthistle   Mar 3, 2007

A tear falls from her eyes and onto the pillow. She stares out her window to the weeping willow. It seems to know where she is.

A swallow sinks from the skies and onto the Earth. She is lifted and placed by a warming hearth. It seems to know that she'll die.

A leaf drops from the trees and onto the snow. She is carried by the wind and her woe. It seems to know why she must cry.

Her heart breaks and she drops to her knees. The tears run steadily from her shining eyes.

After days she finally stops and they believe she's over it. But she can't. She just knew she would dry up.
